The floating islands of Uros full day and Taquile Island The tour starts off with pick-up from your hotel at 7:00 AM We move to the pier From the pier, we will begin the trip on a comfortable boat to the impressive Floating Islands of the Uros. As we navigate the majestic Lake Titicaca, you will be able to enjoy spectacular views that accompany the journey. The floating islands, made entirely of reeds, unfold before you as a testament to the skill and ingenuity of their inhabitants. The serenity of the lake and the Andean landscape create a magical atmosphere.
Upon arrival, you will have the opportunity to learn about the life of the Uros up close for two hours. You will discover their ancestral traditions and the incredible construction technique of their islands, a heritage that they have kept alive for centuries. You will learn about their way of life and how these people have preserved their culture and identity over time. After this cultural immersion, then we will go to Taquile island by boat.
Taquile Island is one of the many islands on Lake Titicaca in Puno, the highest lake in Peru. This fascinating place has been inhabited for thousands of years, its inhabitants speak the Quechua language and their way of life has changed little or nothing over the years, likewise the Taquileños are textile experts and their skills have been transmitted from generation to generation. generation.
